Summary

Lead Software Engineer responsible for designing and delivering scalable, full-stack product features with a strong frontend architecture focus at an innovative educational technology platform. This role involves owning frontend-focused solutions that drive product impact and user experience.

Key Responsibilities: Own the design and delivery of full-stack product features with emphasis on frontend architecture, scope and build data solutions, select appropriate tools and technologies, and develop production-grade software implementations. Collaborate with senior engineers, build abstractions for data integration, and develop key product features that enhance the user experience.
Skills & Tools: 8+ years of software engineering experience with expertise in React, TypeScript, Next.js, AWS, and scalable system design. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with 4+ years of experience leading and mentoring frontend engineers in teams of 5-10+.
Qualifications: 8+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated expertise in frontend development and system architecture. Minimum 4+ years of experience leading and mentoring frontend engineers with team sizes of 5-10 or larger.

Compensation: $180,000 – $200,000/year

We are looking for a talented Staff Software Engineer to join our team and lead the architecture and development of scalable, frontend-focused solutions.

As a Lead Software Engineer - Frontend at Kiddom, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering full-stack product features with a strong emphasis on frontend architecture. Your work will involve scoping, building, and optimizing product features and cross-cutting concerns to address complex problems at scale. You will collaborate with other senior-level engineers, select the appropriate tools and technologies, and implement robust, production-grade software solutions.

  • Design & Delivery: Own the design and delivery of full-stack product features, focusing on frontend architecture and scalability.
  • Data Solutions: Scope out and build the best-possible data solutions for both green-field and legacy problems, ensuring they meet the scale and performance requirements.
  • Tool Selection: Shortlist and evaluate tools and technologies that align with project goals and technical requirements.
  • Implementation & Validation: Develop and validate production-grade software solutions, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and performance.
  • Abstractions & Integration: Build abstractions that improve integration with common data stack-oriented technologies and generalize your work to benefit a variety of use cases.
  • Impactful Features: Develop key product features that directly impact the success of the company and enhance the overall user experience.

What we're looking for...

  • Experience: 8+ years of software engineering experience with a strong focus on frontend development and system architecture.
  • Experience leading and mentoring front end focused engineers (at least 4+ years exp leading and team sizes of 5-10+)
  • Technical Skills: Expertise in designing scalable systems, working with data-oriented technologies, and implementing production-grade software.
  • Tools & Technologies: Experience with React, Typescript, Next.js, AWS
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex, real world problems.

$180,000 - $200,000 a year

Salary range is dependent on geographic location, prior experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.
