Role Snapshot
The Director of People and Culture leads the development of a mission-driven culture and scalable people systems at Reading Horizons to support organizational growth. This role ensures the organization operates with clarity, consistency, and accountability while attracting and retaining diverse, mission-aligned talent.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee culture stewardship, HR operations, talent acquisition, performance management, and compliance to ensure alignment with the organization's mission. Lead hiring processes, onboarding, retention strategies, and performance systems while managing HR compliance and employee relations.
Skills & Tools: Strong leadership in HR compliance, people operations, cultural stewardship, and systems development in a scaling organization. Requires balance of empathy with accountability, integrity, discretion, and ability to partner effectively with executives and managers.
Qualifications: 8-12+ years in senior HR leadership, preferably in mission-driven sectors, with strong grounding in HR compliance and people operations; HR certification preferred.
Location: Kaysville, Utah
Compensation: $120Kβ$180K/yr
