Role Snapshot
Lead Princeton University's high performance computing systems as Senior Director of Advanced Systems, overseeing strategic vision and technical leadership for HPC infrastructure supporting world-class research. Manage a diverse team of technical experts and system administrators responsible for cluster design, deployment, and optimization.
Key Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and strategic roadmap for HPC systems, manage team of system administrators, oversee cluster design and implementation, and collaborate with faculty and departments to meet computational research needs. Monitor technology trends in HPC, data science, and AI; maintain vendor relationships; and coordinate support and troubleshooting across campus research computing infrastructure.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in high performance computing, SLURM scheduling, Linux administration, and vendor management are essential. Strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and ability to manage diverse technical teams are required.
Qualifications: 15+ years of relevant experience in HPC with strong background in current research computing technologies. Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams effectively and strategic vision for computational research infrastructure.
Location: Princeton, New Jersey
Compensation: $150K–$220K/yr
