Summary

Instructional Designer responsible for editing and designing digital ELA curriculum products within the Kiddom platform while developing supplemental resources. The role ensures teacher- and student-facing content are optimized for digital learning to promote student equity and growth.

Key Responsibilities: Manually author/edit interactive question types, develop instructional design protocols for ELA lesson presentations, and author/edit supplemental resources aligned to existing curriculum. Will also review content for quality assurance and align ELA content to state and national standards.
Skills & Tools: Strong understanding of ELA standards (Common Core or state-specific benchmarks), exceptional attention to detail, proficiency with Generative AI tools, and skilled use of Google Suite and project management platforms (JIRA, Monday.com).
Qualifications: 3–5 years of K–12 ELA classroom teaching experience (upper elementary or secondary preferred) and 3+ years of instructional design experience focused on ELA and digital learning.
Location: Remote, US-based
Compensation: $60,000 – $85,000/year

The Instructional Designer will be responsible for editing and designing digital ELA curriculum products within the Kiddom platform, as well as developing supplemental resources. The ideal candidate will ensure that both teacher- and student-facing content are optimized for our digital platform. This role reports directly to the Head of Curriculum.


We’re looking for someone with a background in K-12 ELA teaching, instructional design, project management, and a strong willingness to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.

You will...

  • Manually author/edit interactive question types using the Kiddom platform
  • Develop and implement protocols for instructional/graphic design of curriculum-aligned ELA lesson presentations
  • Author/edit supplemental resources aligned to existing ELA curriculum
  • Review content and provide Quality Assurance feedback to Kiddom’s contractor network
  • Align ELA content to state and national standards and develop student-centered learning experiences


What we're looking for...

  • 3–5 years of K–12 ELA classroom teaching experience (upper elementary or secondary preferred)

  • Skilled in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) for creating, organizing, and sharing curriculum and project documentation.

Salary range is dependent on geographic location, prior experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.
