Role Snapshot

The Quality Control Assistant ensures educational content is accurately reviewed, formatted, and uploaded to provide engaging teaching materials for educators and students. This role is critical in maintaining the quality and accessibility of educational resources across various subject areas.

Key Responsibilities: Maintains and populates lesson-specific and standards correlation databases, manages interactive assessment programs, and provides customer support regarding content and troubleshooting. Other related duties include uploading formatted content and performing administrative tasks as assigned.
Skills & Tools: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal and customer service abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, copy editing/proofreading, organizational skills, typing proficiency, and familiarity with database management are required; Adobe Creative Suite knowledge is preferred.
Qualifications: An Associate's degree is preferred. Familiarity with database coding and management is preferred but not required.
Location: Lubbock, Texas
Compensation: $30K–$45K/yr

Description

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Assistant ensures the educational content developed is reviewed, formatted and uploaded to provide educators and students engaging videos, slide presentations, lesson plans, projects, and activities for a variety of subject areas. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Maintains and populates lesson specific database program. 
  2. Maintains and populates a standards correlation database program. 
  3. Responsible for maintaining an interactive based assessment program. 
  4. Answers customer support questions regarding content and general troubleshooting. 
  5. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and familiar with Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
  4. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  5. Excellent typing skills.
  6. Proficient with copy editing/proofreading skills. 
  7.  Familiar with database coding and management preferred. 

Education & Experience:

  1. Associates degree preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
