Curriculum Associates is seeking a Sales Development Trainee to support their sales teams by developing leads and enhancing customer relationships. This entry-level position provides extensive training and mentorship in sales fundamentals.

Qualifications: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and able to work at least 12 hours per week during business hours.

Location: This position is located in Tucson, AZ, USA, with minimal travel (less than 5%).

Compensation: $16 - $16 / Hourly

The Sales Development Trainee supports our sales teams to maintain and boost our current customer base. The Trainees will work closely with the Inside Sales team to establish a baseline in product knowledge while supporting sales function by developing leads, market surveys, customer consultation,and sample product offerings.

The Trainee will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of sales, whileadvancing through the program with hands-on experience. The trainee will build skills and gain experience by working closely with multiple functions of the sales organization while exploring a career path in sales. The Sales Development Trainee will be exposed to extensive training, mentorship, and real-world application to help launch careers.

The impact you'll have:

Execute sales strategies by proactively contacting existing and new customers via phone, email or video messaging.
Drive various sales projects including but not limited to: Event Invitations, Market Discovery, and strategic email/calling campaigns.
Develop and refine foundational sales skills by participating in ongoing sales training and practice sessions.
Build and maintainrelationships with new and existing customers through effective communication.
Acquire high-level knowledge of CA product offerings

Minimum qualifications:

Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
Able to work at least 12 hours per week, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours.

Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Outlook.
Strong listening and communication skills- both oral and written.
Strong interpersonal skills- build trust and confidence among team.
Represent CA’s core values- demonstrate integrity, ethical standards, and a professional demeanor.
Working knowledge of CRM systems.

Benefits and Pay Range:

Pay Range – This role’s range is $16/hr-$16.50/hr. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.

Benefits - Temporary and per diem employees who average, and maintain, at least 30 hours of work per week may become eligible for medical coverage, under the Affordable Care Act, after an initial waiting period. Temporary and per-diem employees working more than 20 hours per week are eligible for twelve paid holidays. All temporary and per-diem employees are eligible for accrued sick time.
