Your Role
We’re looking for Sales Managers to lead our team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs). This is a critical role focused on building, coaching, and managing the team that drives consistent, high-quality lead and pipeline generation for our sales organization. You’ll be instrumental in executing our top-of-funnel sales strategy and developing the next generation of sales talent at Hudl.
In this role, you’ll:
- Lead and develop talent. Provide daily, hands-on coaching and professional development to your team, focusing on prospecting, objection handling, and qualification skills. You’ll set clear performance expectations, manage the team to key metrics, and foster a high-energy, supportive team environment.
- Drive pipeline and optimize process. Develop and execute the lead generation strategy, ensuring alignment with regional sales goals. You’ll maximize the effectiveness of our sales tech stack (like Salesforce and AI tools) and continuously refine the sales development process to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate across Hudl. Serve as the primary liaison with Account Executives to ensure smooth lead handoffs. You'll partner with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and with Revenue Operations to analyze pipeline data and report on team performance.
Our priority is to hire someone for this role who lives near our office in Lincoln or Omaha, Nebraska, or is open to relocating to either of these cities. We do ask our sales leadership to be in the office a majority of the week.
Must-Haves
- A proven leader. You have at least one year of experience in a leadership, management, or team-lead role, preferably managing an SDR or BDR function. You have an exceptional ability to motivate, coach, and develop entry-level sales talent.
- Experienced in sales. You have three or more years of successful B2B SaaS sales experience, including at least one to two years as a top-performing SDR or BDR.
- Technically proficient. You have advanced knowledge of CRM software (Salesforce is required) and sales engagement platforms like Gong, Hubspot &/or SalesLoft.
- Data-driven. You’re proficient in analyzing pipeline metrics, activity data, and sales process efficiency to make strategic decisions.
- Knowledgeable. You have proven knowledge of modern sales methodologies, such as the Challenger Sale or MEDDIC.
Nice-to-Haves
- A degree. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- A trainer. You have experience not just knowing sales methodologies, but actively training others in those concepts.
- AI-savvy. You have experience using AI and business development tools to enhance the sales process.
- Sport Knowledge. You have experience in the sport industry or as a coach/athlete.
Our Role
- Champion work-life harmony. We’ll give you the flexibility you need in your work life (e.g., flexible vacation time, company-wide holidays and timeout (meeting-free) days, remote work options and more) so you can enjoy your personal life too.
- Guarantee autonomy. We have an open, honest culture and we trust our people from day one. Your team will support you, but you’ll own your work and have the agency to try new ideas.
- Encourage career growth. We’re lifelong learners who encourage professional development. We’ll give you tons of resources and opportunities to keep growing.
- Provide an environment to help you succeed. We've invested in our offices, designing incredible spaces with our employees in mind. But whether you’re at the office or working remotely, we’ll provide you the tech stack and hardware to do your best work.
- Support your mental and physical health. We care about our employees’ wellbeing. Our Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups and fitness partner Peerfit have you covered.
- Cover your medicalinsurance. We have multiple plans to pick from to ensure you’ll have the coverage you (and your dependents) want, including vision, dental, fertility healthcare and family forming benefits.
- Contribute to your 401(K). Yep, that’s free money. We’ll match up to 4% of your own contribution.
