Job Summary
PAR is a leading publisher of psychological assessment materials founded in 1978, with tools designed to support clinicians and advance evidence-based practice. The Data Collection Specialist supports the execution of data collection activities within the Product department, serving as a key liaison between PAR, external data collectors (examiners), and internal project teams.
This role is responsible for examiner onboarding and training, first-line platform support, triaging examiner inquiries to PAR, resolving routine data discrepancies, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the data collection lifecycle. The incumbent will develop proficiency in PAR’s data collection platform and contribute to continuous improvement of onboarding and data quality processes.

Essential Functions
Data Collection Operations & Coordination
- Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external examiners to support data collection goals.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for data collectors, triaging inquiries to PAR and resolving routine issues related to data submission, platform use, and documentation.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve data discrepancies in collaboration with examiners and internal project staff; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of examiner communications, onboarding status, and data-related issues.
Examiner & Staff Onboarding and Training
- Coordinate onboarding of new examiners, including processing required documentation and ensuring completion of training requirements. Delivers training in accordance with established onboarding standards.
- Facilitate examiner onboarding sessions focused on effective use of the data collection platform.
- Develop, maintain, and update onboarding resources (e.g., step-by-step guides, FAQs, video tutorials).
- Track onboarding progress and follow up proactively to ensure timely completion.
- Gather examiner feedback and collaborate with the Data Collection Coordinator to refine onboarding and training processes.
- Support onboarding and training of internal PAR staff to the data collection platform, as needed.
Platform Proficiency & Support
- Develop and maintain working proficiency in the data collection platform and associated tools.
- Provide first-line troubleshooting support for platform-related questions; escalate technical issues appropriately.
- Stay informed of platform updates and assist with communicating changes to examiners and internal users.
Project & Administrative Support
- Assist with survey setup, data entry, coordination of mailings, tracking of incoming data, and data management tasks.
- Support the purchase, dissemination, and documentation of compensation for participants and field researchers.
- Prepare and distribute project-related documentation, training materials, and test materials for studies under development.
- Track and manage assigned project tasks and communicate status, risks, or issues to the project lead and supervisor.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social sciences, or a related field or equivalent professional experience with a strong administrative or research support background.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and databases (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Google Sheet, Power BI).
- Experience with survey or data collection platforms (e.g., REDCap, Qualtrics, QuestionPro) preferred.
- Experience in onboarding, training, technical support, or research coordination preferred.
- Familiarity with APA guidelines a plus.
