Sales Development Representatives (SDR) will support business segment growth by qualifying inbound leads via proactive outbound telephone, email, and social outreach methods. The SDR will at times support account owners with targeted call campaigns and key contact research efforts. As the first line of communication with prospects, ideal SDRs will have an understanding of the sales process and will use those skills to qualify potential customers. This person will identify solutions within the NewCo portfolio of products that will allow schools/districts to overcome their challenges. Ideal SDRs will provide a seamless handoff of qualified leads to sales to generate new business opportunities and work to exceed territory and larger organizational business goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop inbound leads through outbound call efforts that result from website engagement, company conferences, user groups, trade shows/events, mailers, webinars, sales programs, and other activities with a timely, systematic approach
- Use a consultative sales approach to identify the customer’s needs and promote appropriate solutions
- Document essential information within our CRM(Salesforce) about the contact, account, or potential opportunity
- Consistently convert leads into opportunities
- Gather sales intelligence in a methodical way, handle objections persuasively
- Set up meetings or calls between potential customers and sales
- Build relationships internally and externally by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential opportunities
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3+ years of lead development experience highly preferred
- 1-3+ years experience in client facing position with passion for sales engagement
- Experience using CRM and other technical platforms [Salesforce experience highly preferred]
- Proficient use of Google Suite and MS Office Suite
- Proven ability to network and navigate leads
- Understanding of educational needs and technology trends in the K-12 education space
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented, highly motivated and self-sufficient
