Position Summary:
The Production Associate is responsible for processing Chromebooks and services for those Chromebooks per customer orders, within established timeframes and quality standards. The Production Associate is also responsible for processing teardowns of devices to include deconstructing devices, sorting and counting components into labeled boxes.

Essential Responsibilities:
The following essential functions represent the primary work performed; however, other responsibilities could be expected that are not detailed here but fall within the scope of this role.
- Build authentic, trusted relationships that promote collaboration, inclusion, and a culture that lives our values every day (Integrity, Dependability, Connection, Action, Growth)
- Processing of devices per customer order specifications (to include, e.g., installing cases, applying asset tags, scanning MAC addresses, enrolling into management, OU movements, installing screen protectors, etc.).
- Wiring device adapters into charging carts.
- Green pack of devices utilizing Trafera branded packaging materials.
- As needed, assist teammates with the unboxing of Chromebooks, desktops, laptops, and tablets to prep them for processing, including the disposal of associated cardboard and packaging materials.
- Teardown of defective devices to include:
- Auditing of unknown quality to remove failed or damaged components before tearing down.
- Deconstructing devices into usable components for inventory.
- Sorting and counting of the components into the labeled boxes that are to be added to inventory
- Effectively and efficiently work to achieve successful individual production output KPI’s while maintaining quality. KPIs will be provided and may be updated as needed.
- Working as part of a larger team to aid in achieving customer needs.
- Identify areas of concern, means of improvement, and ways to increase efficiency, communicating them to Lead or Supervisor.
- When problems occur, work with Team Lead to identify their root causes and implement or recommend changes to prevent them from occurring again in the future.
- All other duties assigned by management.
Minimum Skills, Abilities, and Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Related experience in computer work or personal experience

Work Environment, Physical, and Mental Demands:
Incumbents in this role will primarily perform their work in a production warehouse environment and interact with team members throughout the facility in both office and production warehouse environments.
The production/warehouse will work with and around a variety of industrial warehouse tools, equipment and vehicles, such as forklifts and packaging machines, in an environment that includes exposure to loud noise levels, vibration, dust, fumes, mechanical hazards, bright lights and hot or cold temperatures. While performing the duties of this position, incumbents may be expected to do any of the following, with or without accommodation:
- Standing at their desk or workstation for long periods
- Use tools, machinery, or equipment at their workstation for long periods, up to an entire shift, managing the controls of the tools, machinery or equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Effectively use computer keyboard, mobile device, desktop computer, laptop, calculator, telephone, copy machine and other business tools or controls
- Mentally focus on tasks and apply sound reasoning and judgement
- Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, face shields, hard hats, masks, gloves or other PPE if required
- Move through the office facility and production warehouse facility on potentially uneven or slippery surface
- Follow all safety protocols and respond to safety control noises or alarms such as fire alarm, forklifts horns, and machinery alerts
- Reach under, over, above or around desks, machinery or other objects such as bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing to perform work
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment
The typical workdays and hours for the organization vary depending on the role being performed with potential for extended hours, including weekends or holidays based on business needs.
The typical workdays and hours are Monday – Friday 6:30 am – 3:00 pm
This role is classified as full-time nonexempt (hourly) and incumbents will work a minimum of 40 hours in a work week. Work is expected to be delivered within established deadlines and quality standards within specific time periods. This is typically within a 40-hour work week. Overtime (working more than 40 hours in a work week) may be worked when approved or could be required if requested by a manager.
