The Learning and Development Event Specialist designs and delivers high-impact professional development experiences including virtual conferences, educator events, and training programs. This part-time contractor role focuses on creating engaging learning environments that drive participation and support implementation across educators, leaders, and partners.

Key Responsibilities: Plan and execute large-scale virtual events, design engaging presentation materials, conduct virtual training sessions for diverse audiences, and manage event logistics including scheduling and communications. Assess program effectiveness through feedback and surveys, provide stakeholder support, and deliver post-event analysis with recommendations for improvement.
Skills & Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and web-based tools; expertise in adult learning methodologies and virtual event management; strong communication and instructional design capabilities. Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders, assess organizational needs, and create effective training content.
Qualifications: 2-5 years of related experience in talent development, educational training, or similar position with demonstrated understanding of effective training methodologies. Bachelor's degree in education or similar field is desired; ability to pass required background check.

Compensation: $45K–$65K/yr (estimated)

Job Description The Part-Time Learning and Development Specialist supports the design and delivery of high-impact professional development experiences, including virtual conferences, educator events, and training programs. This role focuses on creating engaging, interactive learning environments that drive participation, deepen understanding of products and services, and support implementation for educators, leaders, and partners. Learning & Development focuses on the organization's employee education and organizational development programs includingESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties. Support the planning and execution of large-scale virtual events; Design and develop engaging presentation materials for conferences, events, and trainings; Offer specialized expertise to guide the development, review, and refinement of training, event, and conference materials, ensuring they meet organizational standards and effectively engage target audiences; Conduct virtual training sessions for various audiences, including teachers, administrators, existing employees, customers, and presenters; Support operational duties and tasks for Talent Development conferences and events; Collaborate with subject matter experts, product managers, and other stakeholders to gather information and insights needed to create effective training content and assist with presentation materials; Continuously assess organizational and team needs and evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and learning experiences delivered through surveys, feedback, assessments, and performance metrics; Provide ongoing support and guidance to all stakeholders by answering questions, troubleshooting issues, and addressing training-related inquiries; Supports initiatives to increase engagement with Talent Development conferences, events, and trainings; Attends all meetings pertaining to product and platform functionality and/or enhancements; Assist with in coordinating event/conference/training logistics, including scheduling sessions, managing communications with presenters, and ensuring all materials and resources are prepared and accessible for seamless delivery; Provide post-event support and analysis, including organizing session recordings, summarizing key insights, and identifying opportunities to improve future training experiences and conference effectiveness Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Two (2) to five (5) years of related experience in talent development, educational training or related position Understanding of effective training methodologies and a true passion for working with adult learners Microsoft Office 365; Web proficiency. Ability to clear required background check Certificates and Licenses: List OR None required.
