Summary
Senior I/O Psychologist at HackerRank designing and implementing skills-based assessment solutions for enterprise customers to improve hiring quality and organizational development. This role combines applied industrial-organizational psychology with SaaS product strategy to advance evidence-based hiring practices.
Skills & Tools: Expertise in job analysis, content and criterion-related validation, adverse impact analysis, and employment law compliance. Proficiency in statistical tools (R, Python), strong project leadership, consultative advisory skills, and ability to communicate complex findings to diverse audiences in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
Qualifications: Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology or closely related field required with 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and validating employee selection systems. Demonstrated expertise in producing defensible technical documentation and translating business requirements into scientifically rigorous, scalable solutions.
Location: Hybrid in New York City, New York, United States (Santa Clara applicants also welcome)
Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000 / annually
