Seasonal Sales Associate at Lakeshore Learning Materials responsible for delivering exceptional customer service during the back-to-school rush. The role is critical to creating memorable shopping experiences and driving store success in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities: Assist customers with product knowledge and recommendations, process transactions accurately, maintain store cleanliness and inventory, and support merchandising and displays. Additional duties include handling customer concerns, onboarding new staff, and contributing to team and store goals.

Skills & Tools: Strong customer service and communication abilities with empathy and problem-solving skills. Product knowledge retention, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Qualifications: No specific education or prior retail experience explicitly required; job appears open to entry-level candidates. Availability during busy seasonal periods and willingness to participate in training programs are expected.

A day on the job looks like this:

Contribute to achieving store and team goals while fostering customer loyalty 
Ensure every customer feels welcome and valued from the moment they enter the store 
Stay updated on product features and benefits to provide informed recommendations to customers 
Handle customer concerns with empathy and efficiency, escalating complex issues to management when necessary 
Maintain overall store cleanliness, ensuring all areas, including the sales floor, stockroom and common areas are tidy and presentable  
Ensure shelves are well-stocked and inventory is accurately tracked 
Process transactions accurately and efficiently 
Assist with merchandising and store displays 
Participate in training programs and staff meetings   
Help onboard new employees by sharing knowledge and offering support 
Seek feedback to improve and grow within your role and beyond
