Role Snapshot
SPG Therapy & Education seeks a School Psychologist to conduct psychoeducational assessments and provide comprehensive mental health and counseling services to students in Castro Valley schools. The role focuses on empowering children's mental health through detailed evaluations, IEP participation, and collaborative support.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychoeducational assessments and prepare legally defensible reports with diagnoses and recommendations; certify special education eligibility; participate in IEP meetings; provide counseling and consultative support to students, staff, administrators, and parents on mental health and educational matters.
Skills & Tools: California PPS Credential required; excellent communication, interpersonal, speaking, writing, and listening skills; strong assessment and report writing proficiency; collaborative teamwork capabilities.
Qualifications: Must hold California PPS Credential with fingerprint background clearance and tuberculosis (TB) clearance; requires expertise in psychoeducational assessment, special education procedures, and child development.
Location: Castro Valley, California
Compensation: $88K–$120K/yr
