We are seeking a Seasonal HR Assistant to support our Human Resources team in Colorado Springs, CO from April to August. This part-time role offers flexibility in hours and involves various administrative tasks related to HR functions and employee management.
Responsibilities: Assist with day-to-day HR operations, provide clerical support, manage employee records, assist in payroll preparation, coordinate employee engagement efforts, and maintain office environments.
Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), familiarity with HRIS systems (Gusto preferred), excellent communication skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; entry-level position, prior experience in HR is a plus.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the HR Assistant will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
- Provide clerical and administrative support to Human Resources Director and Operations Managers.
- Compile and update employee records during seasonal onboarding.
- Help with the preparation for onboarding/offboarding
- Assist in payroll preparation by reviewing seasonal employee’s timecards for accuracy.
- Manage distribution of seasonal workers’ badges.
- Assist in data entry for key operations metrics including hours, wages, and kits.
- Manage seasonal employees’ time off and other scheduling requests.
- Handle all calls from seasonal employees including call offs, late shows, etc.
- Manage organization and cleanup of common areas, to include breakroom.
- Organize office supply areas, printer areas, keeping areas clean and supplies stocked.
- Assist with coordinating employee engagement efforts such as planning appreciation lunches, gift cards, etc.
Skills and Qualifications:
- MUST be familiar with Microsoft office products, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience using HRIS system a plus, Gusto highly desirable
- A self-starter who takes initiative, action-oriented, ownership, and seeks out what needs to be done next.
- Ability to always represent the company in a positive and professional manner.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of internal teams and warehouse staff.
- Ability to prioritize and organize job tasks and requirements.
- Must be able to perform within a fast-paced environment.
- Well-organized, good planning, self-motivated and positive work attitude.
Work Environment: This position is located onsite in an office/cubicle setting within a warehouse environment. Noise levels can vary from moderate to loud, and temperatures may fluctuate depending on the season.
