Summary

Part-time contract Customer Engagement Specialist role with Paper to enhance K-12 student support across Central Mississippi through workshops, trainings, and relationship building with school districts.

Key Responsibilities: Lead engaging workshops and informational sessions to build brand awareness, facilitate teacher enablement trainings on Paper implementation, and grow relationships with key champions and educators by providing resources and support.
Skills & Tools: Strong communication and public speaking abilities, customer engagement experience, high energy and outgoing personality, and working knowledge of K-12 education industry.
Qualifications: 1-2 years of customer-facing experience preferably in education, residency in Central Mississippi region, valid driver's license, and possession of laptop and phone for work tasks.
Location: Central Mississippi, remote from Mississippi USA with required travel throughout the region to various schools
Compensation: $35/hour

Job Description

This is a part-time, 1-month contract with the possibility to renew. Weekly hours will be scheduled based on support needs, but approximated at about 15 hours/week.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead workshops and informational sessions that will build excitement and spread Paper brand awareness across district communities
  • Facilitate teacher enablement trainings that educate teachers and administrators about Paper implementation at the classroom and site level
  • Grow and nurture relationships with key Paper champions and teachers on the ground by providing these groups with the most up to date resources
  • Help expand our grassroots approach to experiential teacher education and district-wide engagement

Qualifications:

  • Lives in Central Mississippi region 
  • Comfortable speaking in front and engaging with large groups
  • Has 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in education
  • Has working knowledge of K-12 education industry
  • Has laptop and phone that can be used for work purposes (developing slide decks, presenting to districts, communicating cross-functionally)
  • Outgoing individual with strong communication skills who is energized by engaging with customers, especially teacher and parent communities
  • Must be high energy and able to build excitement with customers
  • A self-starter who loves a challenge and a strong team player who loves to collaborate

Preferred:

  • Experience leading professional development within a district
  • Led virtual gamified events within a school district

Location: Central Mississippi Region: These specialists may cover any schools in the Mississippi Department of Education. These individuals must have their own transportation and a valid driver’s license as this role requires considerable travel. Travel territory will be dependent on business needs.

Travel: Travel is required and considered an essential function of the job for all educator-facing positions. Travel includes transportation via car and/or public transit.

Compensation & Benefits: We offer a competitive salary, $35/hour for your prep and facilitation time. The specialist will have the ability to keep all travel points for hotels booked for work-related travel. Mileage reimbursement may be available for applicable travel.
