Summary

Senior Partnership Manager will lead partnership development and relationship management for Bezos Academy's network of tuition-free Montessori-inspired preschools across Florida, Texas, and Kentucky. Qualifications: Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience with 5+ years in partnership development, client relationship management, or account management roles; proven success negotiating and closing agreements. Familiarity with the education sector and project management certifications are preferred.
Location: Remote from Orlando, Southern Florida, Houston, or Dallas with required commute of one hour or less to Bezos Academy preschools in standard traffic; based in Florida, Texas, or Kentucky.

As a Senior Partnership Manager, you will be the face of Bezos Academy and will work with existing school host community and public partners to support a network of tuition-free, Montessori-inspired preschools in Florida, Texas, and Kentucky. You will maintain ongoing relationships with these partners, be a liaison during site construction or capital improvements, and navigate any escalated partner-related issues at Bezos Academy preschool locations. You will play a pivotal role in stewarding and ensuring a healthy rapport between Bezos Academy and our external partners.

You have excellent listening skills, a commitment to exemplary communication, and can present a compelling vision to diverse audiences at all levels, from maintenance technicians to school leaders. You demonstrate strong instincts and business judgment when managing relationships and proposing, negotiating, and gaining alignment on various types of issues. You can confidently present to large or small groups and you possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Above all, you excel at fostering strong, collaborative relationships with our host preschool partners, diplomatically representing our mission to support children in their communities.

LOCATION

  • Orlando, Southern Florida, Houston, or Dallas within one hour’s drive in standard traffic to Bezos Academy preschools (please see our website for school locations)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, salaried position.
  • The full salary range for this position in Florida and Texas is $111,000 – $203,000 per year. The upper portion of the salary range is typically reserved for employees who have been in the role for multiple years and have demonstrated strong performance over time. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience; during the interview process, candidates will learn the starting salary range applicable for their location.
  • This role includes 15 paid days of vacation, 4 days of paid personal time off, 7 paid days of sick (care) time, 9 paid holidays, 5 paid days off for an organization-wide winter break, and additional time off if required by applicable law. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eight or more years of relevant work experience, including five or more years in a partnership development, client relationship management, or account management role
  • Proven success at negotiating and closing agreements in either a for-profit or non-profit setting
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, best practices, and exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks, manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently
  • Valid state driver’s license, clean motor vehicle records, personal auto insurance (at least minimum coverage under applicable law), and access to a reliable vehicle 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with the national education landscape, or other education-sector experience
  • Skilled at presenting information to management and influencing senior leaders
  • Able to work independently and exercise good judgement, with an appreciation for fine details
  • Demonstrated agility and persistence while working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience with corporate philanthropy or capital campaigns
  • Experience working across lines of difference, and a strong personal commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar complex project management training and/or experience
