Job Description
Our client, a prestigious institution within Higher Education, is seeking an innovative and experienced Lead Instructional Designer to join their fully remote team. This role is essential in developing high-quality, engaging, and effective online learning experiences for students. You will lead the design and development of online courses, collaborating closely with faculty subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate pedagogical goals into interactive and accessible digital content. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), and various e-learning technologies. Responsibilities include guiding faculty through the course design process, providing expertise on best practices for online pedagogy, and ensuring alignment with institutional learning outcomes. You will manage multiple course development projects simultaneously, from initial concept and curriculum mapping to content creation, multimedia integration, and final deployment within a Learning Management System (LMS). Proficiency in authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), multimedia development, and familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) are critical. This position requires excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders. You will stay current with emerging trends and technologies in online education and instructional design.
