What You’ll Do
As a Program and Operations Associate, you will provide best-in-class administrative support in a variety of areas, including logistics and event planning, recruitment and selection, communications, and data and systems management. Reporting to the Managing Director of Operations, you will join a team of other Program and Operations Associates who work cross-functionally and collaboratively to ensure smooth operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a hyper-organized, systems-oriented person eager to learn about various aspects of operations management and implementation.
Program and Operations Support
Serve as the central support for all operational systems, including, but not limited to, Salesforce, Ramp, Perk, DocuSign, Bill, and Campaign Monitor, to maintain accurate and timely data, reconcile invoices, and maintain mailing lists.
Maintain project tasks and deadlines through the team's use of Asana.
Project plan and coordinate logistics for 3-4 events monthly (Philly, Pittsburgh, and Harrisburg), including identifying venues, ordering food, managing registration, printing materials, etc. Able to attend at least 2-3 monthly to provide in-person event support. Must be able to do light lifting, moving equipment, set-up, etc., for operations support of in-person events.
Coordinate logistics and set up for monthly Policy Fellows and other program sessions (in-person and virtual), including, but not limited to, communicating logistics with teachers, sharing surveys, and facilitating reimbursements.
Liaise between the Pennsylvania and central teams, including Communications, Evaluation, Finance, Program, and People, to ensure smooth and effective implementation of operations across these functions.
Facilitate the submission of teacher stipends and reimbursements in accordance with finance processes and guidelines to ensure timely payments.
Support Pennsylvania program leaders in building and tracking budgets for program expenses.
Secure contracts, COIs, and make other purchases as approved by the region/program leader.
Coordinate the submission of Act 48 hours for program participants.
Serve as the point of contact for the Philly and Pittsburgh shared office spaces.
Recruitment and Selection
Support the recruitment and selection process across all Teach Plus PA programs by coordinating outreach activities, logistics, and promoting opportunities.
Assist with reviewing applications, monitoring the applicant tracking system (Salesforce), assigning assessments, scheduling interviews, and tracking candidates’ statuses and communication.
Support the regional teams with outreach by communicating application requirements and program details to applicants through multiple channels, including in-person presentations and webinars.
Who You Are
Have at least two years of professional experience in operations, nonprofit administration, or a related administrative support role
Demonstrated experience coordinating and executing events, projects, or operational processes end-to-end
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with demonstrated ability to manage competing deadlines, logistics, and operational workflows in a fast-paced environment
Quick to learn and effectively use operational systems and tools, including Asana, Salesforce, Campaign Monitor, Google Workspace, and financial or reimbursement platforms, to ensure accurate data management, tracking, and execution across multiple workstreams
Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented, with the ability to independently troubleshoot issues, anticipate operational needs, and adjust priorities as needed
Strong cross-functional communicator who can coordinate effectively across multiple internal teams and external stakeholders while managing independent responsibilities
Comfortable supporting in-person events, including frequent travel within Pennsylvania and hands-on logistical responsibilities such as setup, materials transport, equipment handling, and on-site coordination
Demonstrated commitment to mission-driven work, with interest in supporting organizational operations that improve opportunities and outcomes for students through strong program execution

The starting salary for this position is $65,000. To promote fairness and consistency, Teach Plus uses a structured compensation approach and does not negotiate starting salaries. All offers are determined using job-related criteria and alignment to our established salary framework.

Location and Travel
Only candidates currently residing in Pennsylvania will be considered, with a strong preference for candidates in the Philadelphia or Pittsburgh metro areas. This is a remote work position, although travel to support program events in PA (Philly, Pittsburgh, and Harrisburg) will be required.
