The Dual Language Senior Content Developer oversees the development of educational content in Spanish for Benchmark Education Company, collaborating with vendors, freelance writers, and internal teams to ensure quality and adherence to publishing guidelines. The role impacts the creation of core and supplemental literacy resources grounded in the Science of Reading research.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate with vendors and freelance writers to develop content while maintaining writing guidelines, review and approve manuscripts across production stages, and incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders including sales, marketing, and editorial teams. Support sales and marketing initiatives through review of promotional materials and maintain product documentation while attending regular status meetings.
Skills & Tools: Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal), superior writing and editing skills, strong project management abilities, and proficiency in MS Office are required; basic Adobe Creative Suite proficiency and knowledge of language, literacy research, and content standards are preferred. Excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a deadline-driven environment are essential.
Qualifications: 7+ years of experience developing literacy materials for an educational publisher with a B.A. in English, education, or related field (M.A. preferred). Teaching experience is a plus.
Location: Florida
