Role Snapshot

Senior Instructional Designer role at USAA focused on creating strategic learning experiences to support Real Estate Lending operational changes and process adoption. This position acts as a key liaison between Learning & Development, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to drive employee performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities: Design and develop engaging learning curriculum and solutions using industry methodologies; collaborate with cross-functional teams and business leaders to analyze performance gaps and validate learning requirements; measure curriculum effectiveness and learner outcomes; manage vendor relationships and optimize third-party learning tools; mentor peer team members.
Skills & Tools: Advanced expertise in instructional design methodologies and multi-media development tools (particularly Articulate Storyline 360); strong project management, organizational, and communication skills; ability to synthesize analyses and provide business recommendations; experience with learning technologies and training environments.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of related instructional design experience; minimum 6 years of progressive work experience in complex instructional design projects; demonstrated advanced knowledge of instructional design methodologies and authoring tools.
Location: San Antonio
Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $75,000 โ€“ $95,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.
