Summary

Join Campus as an Admissions Team Lead to manage a team of 7–10 Admissions Counselors, guiding prospective students through the admissions process while maintaining high-integrity standards and achieving enrollment goals.

Skills & Tools: Expertise in admissions operations, strong management and coaching abilities, excellent verbal and written communication, high emotional intelligence, and analytical skills. Experience in startup environments and training/facilitation is a plus.
Qualifications: Extensive experience in admissions recruitment and prior leadership experience required. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with admissions operations and student enrollment processes essential.

About the team

On the Admissions team, our goal is to guide prospective students through a supportive, informative, and high-integrity admissions experience that reflects our student-first mission. This team is composed of dedicated Admissions Counselors, Team Leads, Trainers, and operational partners who work collaboratively to meet enrollment goals while upholding Campus’s values, culture, and standards of excellence.

About the role

The Admissions Team Lead is responsible for managing a team of 7–10 Admissions Counselors, ensuring they achieve their enrollment goals, and maintaining the overall operations and culture of the admissions department. This includes managing the team funnel, conducting regular pipeline reviews, sharing new information, and holding team members accountable.

  • Directly manage a team of 7–10 Admissions Counselors, providing coaching and support to help them achieve their individual goals.
  • Encourage teamwork and foster a collaborative positive culture within the admissions department.
  • Act as both a coach and manager, assisting with day-to-day operations
  • Oversee and support the counselors in managing their pipelines and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews to monitor progress, address challenges, and ensure that enrollment targets are met.
  • Monitor counselors' performance, ensuring they can support prospective students effectively.
  • Engage with individual admission counselors to ensure they meet their personal daily, weekly and cohort goals.
  • Learn and master operational aspects of the admissions department and become an expert in programs and processes.
  • Report to management on lead quality, volume, and any trends affecting their team.
  • Recommend strategies for operational improvements to management.
  • Ensure new information, processes, and updates are communicated effectively to the team, and hold counselors accountable for adherence.
  • Act as both coach and manager, Score 2-3 intro calls weekly/AC and provide constructive feedback and identify skill gaps during coaching calls.
  • Develop methods to motivate the team to meet their goals.
  • Professionally develop Admissions Counselors through weekly 1-1 sessions and by working with the trainer to develop leadership training.
  • Work with the Director and Trainer to onboard new counselors.
  • Recommend additional training, improvement plans, or disciplinary actions for counselors as needed.
  • Mentor and coach counselors for skill development and potential promotion.
  • Delegate responsibilities fairly and lead by example.
  • Lead by example while delegating roles and responsibilities in a fair and equitable manner.

Required:

  • Extensive experience in admissions recruitment or high-volume student-facing sales environments
  • Prior leadership/management experience with direct-reports
  • Demonstrated ability to coach teams toward performance goals
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High emotional intelligence and ability to navigate interpersonal dynamics
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills

Nice to have:

  • Experience in a startup or rapidly scaling environment
  • Experience delivering presentations or representing a department externally
  • Background in training, facilitation, or curriculum support

  • A compensation package that includes a base salary ($72,000 - $82,000) + equity grant
  • Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary will be localized.
