The Lifecycle Marketing Manager is responsible for the execution, maintenance, and optimization of marketing campaigns in Marketo and other tools utilized by the Lifecycle team (e.g., Intercom, Gainsight PX, Captello). They build programmatic email and in-app flows, nurtures, and one-time campaigns to support the overall product experience, including motions from our Lifecycle and Integrated Marketing team, as well as other cross-functional efforts. They work to understand the entire customer journey, including lead nurture, conversion, customer retention, upsell, and cross-sell across all current and future Articulate products.
They understand how to build and optimize lifecycle campaigns, including designing, developing, and optimizing emails and email programs, as well as setting up reporting. They partner with cross-functional partners such as the Go-to-Market Effectiveness and Growth Product teams to define, build, maintain, and optimize campaigns and translate campaign performance reporting into insights that drive meaningful business outcomes. They are responsible for monitoring campaign performance, sharing insights, and recommending and implementing strategic code and design changes that improve the overall lifecycle journey. They understand how their work supports the overall experience of prospects, trialers, and customers.
The Lifecycle Marketing Manager reports to the Manager, Lifecycle Marketing, and contributes to the success of the Global Integrated Marketing team.

What You'll Do: - Have a deep understanding of the data needed to execute campaigns and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and obtain the necessary data to deploy campaigns
- Work with team members to test strategies to optimize user journeys
- Execute, QA, measure, and optimize marketing automation campaigns to support and improve engagement and conversion
- Perform day-to-day email marketing activities, such as setting up, scheduling, and deploying one-time, recurring, triggered, and dynamic campaigns in marketing automation platforms such as Marketo, Intercom, Gainsight PX, Pendo, etc.
- Maintain and evolve email template inventory, including archiving old assets, performing regular performance evaluations on email designs, and implementing resulting recommendations
- Build, maintain, and optimize Lifecycle process workflows to streamline and optimize team processes
- Manage and maintain Lifecycle marketing documentation and reporting
- Monitor the effectiveness of our email templates, testing and optimizing module use to increase email engagement
- Assist the Lifecycle Marketing team in monitoring the health of our programs by analyzing and reporting on campaign performance to provide insights
- Collaborate with other members of the marketing team on cross-channel campaigns
- Partner with the Brand and Messaging Design teams to ensure ongoing consistency of email communications with the overall brand evolution
- Communicate proactively with peers and manager on plans, progress, and challenges
- Research, update, and maintain email design best practices within Articulate’s email design system
What You Should Have: - 5+ years of direct experience in lifecycle marketing, marketing operations, or related fields (required)
- 3+ years of experience using Marketo or a comparable marketing automation platform to build complex email nurture programs (3+ years required, 5+ years preferred)
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of HTML and CSS (required)
- Proficient in responsive email design and front-end development
- Strong analytical skills and ability to derive meaning from performance metrics
- Excellent project management abilities
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills when working with teammates who may be data-driven or more qualitative
- Attention to detail
- Good understanding of database concepts and segmentation to build lists and audiences
- Ability and desire to learn quickly and troubleshoot problems
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction while also functioning and contributing as part of a team
- Trustworthy, thoughtful, and a doer
- 4-year college degree or equivalent experience

$83,800 - $125,800 a year
The pay range for this position is $83,800 to $125,800 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
