Summary

The Senior Director of Brand Communications will lead WGU's brand strategy and elevate the university's presence across all channels by directing a cross-functional team and managing a multi-million-dollar budget. Key Responsibilities: Lead brand strategy development, create unified brand playbooks, and ensure consistent brand application across all touchpoints while partnering with cross-functional teams. Oversee a multi-channel content strategy, manage social media and influencer partnerships, optimize SEO, and drive measurable engagement across owned, earned, and emerging platforms.

Skills & Tools: Strong expertise in brand management, multi-channel content strategy, storytelling, social media strategy, SEO optimization, influencer partnerships, leadership development, and data-driven decision-making. Must combine creative vision with analytical capabilities to connect compelling storytelling to measurable impact.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 10 years of experience in brand or digital strategy roles, including at least 5 years in leadership positions. Experience managing teams, budgets, and cross-functional collaborations in higher education or similar mission-driven environments is preferred.

Location: Hybrid in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States

Compensation: $163,200 – $293,800/year
