Location
For most areas of the US, this is a remote role. For candidates who reside within a commutable distance from cities where we hold an office (New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles), this will be a hybrid role that is in office four days per week, except during times of business travel.
About this Role
We’re looking for a Regional Sales Director to join our growing sales team and to leverage their seasoned sales acumen and process to drive revenue growth for Kira Learning. This person will own the sales pipeline end-to-end with the goal of increasing the number of school districts and states that use Kira Learning. Your responsibilities will span from deep qualification, long term strategic planning, product demonstration, and driving the purchasing process to a successful close.

Responsibilities & Duties- Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing and build relationships with potential customers on their journey to success with Kira.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers and drive results for complex accounts.
- Partner cross-functionally with marketing and product teams to ensure that we are effectively showcasing Kira Learning’s value proposition, and provide consistent feedback from prospects to meet their needs and improve our offerings.
- Monitor KPIs to ensure we are consistently meeting or exceeding our goals.
- Advise and mentor our Sales Development Representatives to build out the top of the funnel.
- In partnership with the Head of Sales, deliver presentations to executives and the team at large to ensure how we are tracking against revenue targets.
- Work strategically with the VP of Sales to identify trends and challenges, and provide recommended solutions.
- Identify and coordinate efforts for national, state, and international conferences and events.
- Act as the subject matter expert on Kira’s product, and develop a strong sales and product knowledge around AI and Computer Science education space.
Experience & Skills- 7+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on building relationships and selling technology products to school districts globally
- Knowledge of how K-12 districts and schools operate within curriculum instruction, and technology departments
- A proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
- Strong understanding of sales best practices, specifically around negotiation and proposal generation skills
- Deep experience with outbound prospecting into new accounts and conducting product demonstrations in a value-based sales environment
- A passion for computer science and AI education, along with Kira’s vision and mission
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; you can patiently, professionally and effectively communicate with a diverse and multicultural group of peers across time zones and continents
- Nimble and adaptable, you can thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment
- A positive, can-do attitude. You’re not deterred by minor setbacks and are able to swiftly overcome ambiguity.

- Strong proficiency in Google Workspace programs, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management software tools

$110,000 - $130,000 a year
Competitive base salary ($110,000 - $130,000), performance bonus and equity package in a well-funded, high growth company. Compensation is based on a number of relevant factors such as location, professional experience and related skill sets.
