JOB OVERVIEW:

The Senior Director of Data & Technology will shape and lead the enterprise technology strategy, providing vision and leadership in designing and architecting scalable systems and data solutions. This role oversees a team responsible for IT, data analytics, and CRM, ensuring that technology initiatives are aligned with business objectives to support organizational growth and strategic goals.

LOCATION: San Francisco, California (Hybrid)

REPORTS TO: Chief Product & Technology Officer

SALARY: $140,000 - $166,250

TYPE: Full-time, exempt

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technology Strategy: Develop and execute an enterprise technology strategy that supports the organization's strategic objectives and growth.
  • Enterprise Architecture: Provide leadership and direction in architecting, designing, and implementing scalable and robust enterprise systems and data solutions.
  • Infrastructure & IT Operations: Lead IT operations and cloud infrastructure management to ensure that all technology systems are available, scalable, secure, and aligned with evolving organizational needs.
  • Data Analytics Oversight: Develop and implement data strategy to deliver high-quality insights and analytics capabilities that support strategic data-driven decision-making across the organization.
  • CRM & Analytics Platforms: Oversee the evolution of the CRM (Salesforce) and analytics platforms (Google Analytics & Amplitude) to support complex business needs, ensuring seamless integration with other enterprise systems and delivering actionable insights that inform strategic decisions and enhance organizational performance.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team, including IT, analytics, and data professionals, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with the organization's technology needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional leaders to align technology initiatives with business needs and deliver measurable value across the organization.
  • Data Security & Compliance: Ensure the integrity, security, and compliance of data systems, implementing best practices in data governance, IT management, and regulatory requirements.
  • End-User Support: Oversee end-user support, ensuring effective deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of devices, software applications, and communication systems for optimal performance and user satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in technology leadership roles, with a focus on enterprise architecture, systems design, and data strategy.
  • Proven experience managing IT and data teams, including analytics and CRM administration.
  • Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, data architecture, and integration technologies.
  • Proven experience in both IT operations and cloud infrastructure management, with a focus on availability, scalability, and security of systems.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of developing technology strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels.
  • Experience with data analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude) and Salesforce is preferred.
  • Experience developing and implementing IT policies and governance standards, particularly in network security, compliance, and disaster recovery, is highly preferred.
