Role Snapshot
Regional Indie Sales Manager for Sourcebooks responsible for expanding sales and market share in independent bookstores across the South (8-state territory). The role focuses on building relationships with bookstore owners and driving strategic sales initiatives within the independent book market channel.
Key Responsibilities: Growing sales in independent bookstores, conducting in-person sales calls multiple times yearly, establishing relationships with key accounts and industry associations, curating title lists for individual stores, managing inventory forecasting and revenue budgeting, and coordinating author events and promotions within the territory.
Skills & Tools: Minimum 3 years book publishing sales experience preferably with independent bookstores, excellent presentation and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office and sales reporting/analysis, experience in sales strategy and budgeting, and strong organizational abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred, minimum 3 years of book publishing sales experience, valid driver's license and reliable transportation required, with extensive travel capability including overnight stays and occasional weekends.
Location: Tennessee
Compensation: $60Kβ$70K/yr
