Role Snapshot

Join the College Board as a Policy Fellow to conduct impactful policy research and advocacy in education for 15 months starting June 2026. You'll develop expertise in K-12 and postsecondary policy issues while supporting the Policy & Advocacy team in advancing educational opportunities for students.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct literature reviews and policy analysis on education issues (60%), develop specialization in 1-2 policy areas, assist with state legislation analysis, and support external partnerships (20%). You'll also attend education conferences, analyze quantitative/qualitative data, and contribute to policy development and advocacy efforts.
Skills & Tools: Strong analytical and research skills with ability to utilize AI tools for research and analysis. Excellent communication skills to translate findings into actionable recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications: Recent master's degree graduate in public policy, education, or related field with 2-3 years of relevant experience preferred. Familiarity with K-12 or higher education policy issues is a plus.
Location: Virginia
Compensation: $52Kโ€“$85K/yr
