Role Snapshot

Corporate Trainer for Trades Training at Houston Community College System responsible for developing and delivering workforce training programs in construction trades. The role supports HCC's mission to prepare individuals for careers in skilled trades through cutting-edge academic and practical instruction.

Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver trades training curriculum (welding, electrical, construction, etc.) to students at HCC centers and satellite locations. Collaborate with industry partners, manage classroom operations, and ensure student success through innovative training methodologies.
Skills & Tools: Subject matter expertise in construction trades with strong instructional delivery and curriculum development abilities. Excellent communication, collaboration, and process improvement skills with proficiency in training technology and community partnership development.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required (or 8 years industry experience as substitute). Minimum 3 years subject-related industry experience and construction trades certification (Master Welder, Master Electrician, NCCER, etc.) preferred; community college or corporate training experience preferred.

Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation for this role is $48,000 – $62,000/year based on title, seniority, and location.
