Role Snapshot
Math and Science Instructional Coach role at Impact Academy in Hayward, CA, designed to enhance teaching practices and support student success in a diverse, equitable school environment. The position reports to site Principals and works to ensure exemplary pedagogy and rigorous instruction across math and science departments.
Key Responsibilities: Support teachers with instructional strategies, lead professional development, analyze student performance data, facilitate lesson planning and assessment development, and model lessons in classrooms. Develop aligned unit and lesson plans, conduct instructional inquiry cycles, and design standards-based curriculum.
Skills & Tools: Strong background in math and science education with expertise in designing standards-based curriculum and assessments. Experience with diverse learner groups, deep content knowledge, collaborative mindset, and commitment to anti-racist and pro-Black educational practices.
Qualifications: Valid California Teaching Credential or equivalent required. 5+ years of successful teaching experience, preferably with diverse student populations, is preferred.
Location: Hayward, California
Compensation: $90K–$105K/yr
