Job Description

About Stepful:

Stepful is a workforce platform redefining how America's largest health systems build, train, and retain their talent. Since our founding in 2021, Stepful’s trained over 32,000 practice-ready healthcare workers.

Layering onto our successful direct-to-consumer training, Stepful partners with leading healthcare institutions to address the growing national shortage of healthcare workers. We’re improving access to quality healthcare for everyone, everywhere, and improving access to healthcare career ladders for those who need them most.

Our students form the talent pipelines for major employers such as NY-Presbyterian, Mt. Sinai, HCA, Providence, CVS, and Walgreens. We have partnerships with half of the top 10 health systems in the US and are in process with many more.

Stepful is backed by Y Combinator, Reach Capital, and AlleyCorp, with a recent $55M Series C led by Oak HC/FT. We were named the #1 EdTech company in the U.S. by TIME for 2025.

Our values:

We credit much of our success to our exceptional team. We’re looking for mission-driven builders who thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, and embody our four core values:

  • Care first: We do whatever it takes for our students to succeed.

  • Learn quickly: We test, learn with data, and iterate.

  • Build together: We win when we rely on each other.

  • Own it: We show up, take initiative, and show pride.

The Role

We are looking for a motivated Curriculum Developer to build the learning experience for Stepful's new Radiologic Technology program — a two-year, associate's-degree-granting program that is more comprehensive and robust than Stepful's earlier certificate-based offerings. You'll build a rigorous, accreditation-aligned curriculum largely from the ground up, working closely with Stepful's internal team to bring the program to life ahead of our upcoming accreditation submission.

What You'll Do

  • Develop high-quality, engaging online curriculum for Stepful's Radiologic Technology program, built to the rigor of a degree-granting, two-year program

  • Build course content and assessments aligned to Radiologic Technology certification and accreditation standards

  • Follow the Stepful standards for content development format and flow

  • Receive guidance and direction from the internal team at Stepful

  • Adhere to the project timeline — tied to Stepful's accreditation submission — and regularly communicate via Zoom, Slack, and internal project management tools regarding content status and progress

  • Establish and maintain rigorous quality control processes to ensure the program consistently meets high standards of accuracy and relevance

  • Experiment with new content modalities to enhance student learning experience, including skill labs, virtual simulations, and more

  • Work async-first, with availability for 1-2 synchronous meetings per week during Eastern hours

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in health science, STEM, or a related healthcare field

  • 3+ years of experience developing online curriculum in a healthcare setting is required

  • Radiologic Technology license or certification (e.g., ARRT) is not required, but a significant plus

  • Higher education or degree-granting program experience is a plus, given Radiologic Technology is a two-year, associate's-degree-granting program

  • Comfortable working async-first, with availability for 1-2 synchronous meetings per week during Eastern hours

  • Stellar writing and communication skills

  • Familiarity with Google Drive and Google Documents

  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Receptive to constructive feedback on style and substance

Bonus Points if the candidate has:

  • Instructional design skills, especially for degree-granting or higher-education programs

  • Prior experience building Radiologic Technology or other allied-health curriculum

  • Strong understanding of edtech, online pedagogy, and adult learners' needs

  • Passion for using AI to accelerate content development

  • Experience creating short-form videos, particularly scripting

Job Type: Contract, Remote (up to 40 hours per week; open to flexibility for the right candidate)

Salary: $25-$30 per hour

Schedule: Async-first, with availability for 1-2 synchronous meetings per week during Eastern hours
