The Finance Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the CFO and Finance Department, managing schedules, documents, and various accounting functions while maintaining organized systems and procedures.
Job Description
Position Purpose:
The Finance Assistant will provide administrative support to the CFO and Finance Department. The ideal candidate must have the ability to work independently or on a team using strong interpersonal skills. The candidate must be an excellent communicator, capable of effectively managing complex schedules, skilled at interfacing with key external and internal audiences, and be able to prioritize work closely with other members of the Finance team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the CFO and Finance Department managers, including mailings, scanning, managing hard copy and electronic filings, maintaining calendars, etc.
- Assist in the development of various documents and analyses in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Assist with various analyses, including petty cash transaction, bank reconciliations, researching accounts. Etc.
- Assist other departments with various accounting matters regarding travel, expense items, etc.
- Downloading standard weekly & monthly reports
- Maintain policy and procedures manuals, SOP’s, etc.
- Manage administrative functions regarding the Company’s fleet of leased automobiles.
- Assist with end of month Commissions (email out statements) & quarterly royalties (prepare and send royalty statements).
- Performing other duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
- Work experience as a Finance Assistant or similar role
- Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
- Experience with MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions)
- Familiarity with accounting software
- Organizational and time-management skills
- Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors
- BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000
*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
