Summary

A Field Literacy Consultant serves as a liaison between Zaner-Bloser educational programs and classroom teachers/schools, providing implementation training, instructional support, and sales support. This intermittent position is critical for ensuring successful program adoption and ongoing teacher success in schools.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver implementation training to new program users, provide instructional support to classroom teachers, conduct school visits, offer phone and email follow-up support, build relationships with administrators, make product presentations, provide sales support, attend conferences, and complete required reporting forms and expense reports.
Skills & Tools: Strong instructional knowledge of literacy programs, excellent communication and presentation abilities, relationship-building skills, and sales support capability. Ability to work independently, manage time effectively across multiple schools/teachers, and navigate administrative reporting systems.

Job Description

Field Literacy Consultant

Field Literacy Consultants (FLC) are classified as intermittent employees of ZB. An FLC serves as the link between the Zaner-Bloser and the classroom teachers and students using these programs and schools considering implementing these programs. In this role, Field Literacy Consultants may be asked to provide any or all of the following services:

  • Implementation training to new program users
  • Instructional support to classroom teachers
  • Visit implementations, as needed
  • Provide follow-up phone and e-mail support to teachers, as needed
  • Establish a positive relationship to with administrators using ZB programs in schools
  • Make presentations regarding ZB programs
  • Provide sales support
  • Attend conferences and exhibit product

 Field Literacy Consultants will complete and submit relevant reporting forms after training or visiting. In addition, Field Literacy Consultants will be expected to report information to ZB periodically throughout the year, as requested. Field Literacy Consultants report work to their Regional Literacy Consultant and submit time and expense reports to the Professional Learning Operation Specialist.
