Civitas Learning seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Content Marketing Specialist to execute our content strategy across the customer lifecycle. This role will focus on developing and managing high-quality content that drives engagement, nurtures leads and supports sales efforts. You will work across various content formats, including web, blogs, podcasts, videos, white papers, research reports, social media, and sales enablement materials.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter, a strong writer and communicator, and has an understanding of AI-powered content marketing. You should be highly flexible, responsive, able to manage multiple projects, and adept at applying the latest content and product marketing strategies.
This role reports to the Director of Marketing and works closely with marketing, product, sales, and the Customer Development team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Execute a comprehensive content strategy to engage customers at every funnel stage.
- Manage, create, and maintain content for blogs, white papers, research reports, videos, podcasts, and lead-generation assets.
- Optimize content for SEO, distribution, and engagement.
- Develop content that supports demand generation and lead nurturing campaigns.
- Create sales enablement materials like case studies, product one-pagers, and pitch decks.
- Manage and create content for social media and owned email newsletters.
- Leverage AI tools to enhance content creation, personalization, and distribution.
- Stay updated on the latest AI-powered content marketing trends and tools.
- Manage multiple content projects with attention to detail and strict deadlines.
- Edit and proofread content to maintain brand voice and messaging consistency.
- Lead a team of external content professionals, ensuring the successful execution of content projects.
- Monitor content performance analytics, providing insights and recommendations to improve content effectiveness.
Experience & Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in content marketing, product marketing, or related roles.
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience managing blogs, video content, podcasts, and sales enablement materials.
- Proven ability to use AI tools for content creation, research, and optimization.
- Strong understanding of SEO, lead generation, and inbound marketing strategies.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently and proactively drive content initiatives.
- Comfortable in a small team where flexibility and collaboration are essential.
- High-performing, self-starter who is excited to dive in and make things happen.
- A strong analytical mindset, paired with a curious and problem-solving attitude.
- Experience in education technology, SaaS, and B2B is a plus.
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, SEMrush, and WordPress is a plus.
