About the Team

The Market Development team at College Board’s Latin America office builds and sustains institutional partnerships that expand our reach and deepen our impact across Latin America and the Caribbean. Account managers serve as key connectors between external partners and internal teams, ensuring our services meet client goals and program requirements. The team works closely with Research, Assessment Operations, and other functions to deliver exceptional value to schools and systems.

About the Opportunity

The Senior Director of Partner Success will serve as the strategic account lead for the delivery and growth of College Board’s contracted services across the region, with direct ownership of our relationship with the Puerto Rico Department of Education and private schools in Puerto Rico. Reporting to the Executive Director of Market Development, this individual contributor will manage client success, drive retention and cross-sell efforts, and serve as a liaison to internal delivery teams. They will lead through influence, ensuring client needs are met while bringing urgency, precision, and insight to every partnership.

In this role, you will:

Strategic Account Leadership (35%)

  • Serve as the primary liaison for key partner institutions, overseeing collaboration plans, identifying mutual priorities, and ensuring alignment with regional education goals.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with high-profile individuals in Puerto Rico and throughout the region, especially Mexico and the Dominican Republic. 
  • Work closely with Assessment Operations to align operational execution with client goals, market insights, and educational policy trends. 
  • Proactively surface client feedback, data, and challenges to inform internal planning and operational improvements.

Client Success Management (30%)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Puerto Rico Department of Education and private schools, building strong relationships, providing responsive support, driving satisfaction, and building opportunities for further collaboration.
  • Own key client accounts, ensure timely fulfillment of contractual obligations, including volume monitoring, and uncover opportunities for expansion and deeper engagement.

Proposal & Contract Execution (20%)

  • Lead the development of strategic proposals, manage renewals, and ensure contracts are appropriately scoped and executed in collaboration with Legal, Finance, and Program teams.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of contract terms, deliverables, and performance metrics.

Cross-functional Collaboration (15%)

  • Partner with Research and Development, Assessment Operations, Technology, and other teams to ensure seamless delivery and responsiveness to client needs.
  • Coordinate internal efforts ensuring successful service delivery, lead through influence, and uphold a customer-centric culture across the organization.

About You

  • 10+ years of professional experience in education, account management, customer success, or strategic partnerships
  • Track record of owning large-scale client relationships, particularly within the K-12 or higher education sectors
  • Strong proposal development and contract negotiation experience
  • Strong understanding of service delivery models and cross-functional project coordination
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a collaborative, consultative, and strategic mindset
  • Comfortable leading without authority, managing ambiguity, and driving urgency and clarity across teams
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and spoken) strongly preferred
  • Based in Puerto Rico or able to relocate
  • Able to travel 4–6 times per year across the region
