Compensation: Not provided by employer. Typical compensation ranges for this position are between CAD 80,000 - CAD 110,000.

Job Summary
The Sr Quality Engineer I – QA Engineer supports business process through technology solutions. The purpose of this role is to test and try to break business software solutions for complex and large scale projects developed by the team through rigorous testing, finding creative and unusual ways to push the system to its limits. If succeeded, then report the bugs with clear communication and steps to reproduce. The Sr Quality Engineer I – QA Engineer participates in application standards development and serves as an evangelist for best practices.
What you will do:
- Perform all stages of the software development life cycle, self-manage activities on projects
- Create detailed test plans and test cases
- Execute test plans, run regression and validate system functionality for Salesforce / Certinia PSA to ensure business requirements are met.
- Maintain test scripts for automated testing to avoid repetitive manual testing
- Help with developing High-level system narratives, storyboards, and user interface prototypes;
- Help with Detailed design specifications to achieve business requirements to be used by the technical team;
- Develop: System test plans, ensure software quality assurance (SQA) standards are achieved, and validate that business goals are accomplished;
- Work closely with Software Engineers, Product Owner and Product Manager to resolve issues
- Follow CDW software quality process and guidelines
- Identify issues that require more attention, and work to resolve issues based on an understanding of the business problem being solved.
- Clearly communicate roadblocks and impediments to avoid delays in deliverables
- Participate actively in all Agile ceremonies e.g. Scrum, Refinement, Planning, Retro
- Complete projects/tasks on a timely basis, according to commitments made to stakeholders and management.
- Report project/task status as part of daily scrums to the agile team, product owners, and product managers.
What we expect of you:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience as QA.
- 2+ years of QA experience with Salesfoce ecosystem including Certinia PSA
- Must have expertise to test manually with Salesforce / Certinia PSA
- Experience with project management systems like Azure DevOps
- Experience with creation and maintenace of test plans and test cases for Salesforce / FinacialForce PSA
- Experience in Salesforce / Certinia integration testing with external systems
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and maintain productive working relationships cross-departmentally and cross-functionally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with and present to all stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, planning and creative problem solving-skills with critical attention to detail.
- Proven track record of delivery quality projects with no to minimu post production tickets.
- History of balancing competing priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business while meeting deadlines.
- Excellent customer facing skills that include conducting compelling technical briefing & demonstrations.
- Experience in Agile SAFe Framework, a plus.
- Experience supporting large scale Saleforce implementations including mutliple instances, a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce / Certinia PSA (GovCloud experience is nice to have), a plus.
- Ability to think through performance requirements for a system and lead optimizing/tuning, a plus.
- Experience with automated testing using Provar or similar tool, a plus.
