Summary

Housing Operations Coordinator responsible for end-to-end management of Verto's student housing model in Prague, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality accommodation across multiple third-party landlords. This temporary position (August-December) functions as property management coordination and risk mitigation lead.

Key Responsibilities: Manage relationships with housing vendors and landlords, coordinate maintenance and safety inspections, oversee move-in/move-out operations, conduct housing walkthroughs, maintain incident logs, and serve in 24/7 on-call rotation. Partner cross-functionally with Student Success, Program Director, and Health & Safety teams on housing strategy and student-facing issues.
Skills & Tools: Strong organizational and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and vendors simultaneously, proficiency in English, and proficiency with maintenance tracking systems. Experience in vendor management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination in fast-paced environments required.
Qualifications: 3–5+ years of experience in student-housing operations, property management, or student services preferred. Experience managing third-party vendors and working in international or higher education environments preferred.
Location: In-Person - Praha 1
Compensation: $42K–$58K/yr (estimated)

✨ About the Role

The Housing Operations Lead in Prague is responsible for the end-to-end management of Verto’s student housing model. This role functions as a property management coordination and risk mitigation lead, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality student housing across multiple third-party landlords and distributed units. This position is temporary with appointment from August - December. 

This position reports to the Assistant Director of Student Success


🚀 What You’ll Be Doing


Vendor & Landlord Management

  • Manage relationships with housing agencies and housing vendors
  • Ensure adherence to service-level expectations and contract standards
  • Coordinate issue resolution across fragmented providers
  • Escalate unresolved safety or maintenance concerns


Maintenance & Environmental Coordination

  • Serve as primary coordinator for all housing-related maintenance
  • Track and have issues resolved by housing partners (plumbing, utilities, mold, safety concerns)
  • Ensure timely vendor response and follow-up
  • Maintain centralized maintenance tracking system


Health, Safety & Risk Oversight

  • Conduct housing walkthroughs and safety checks
  • Monitor environmental risks and recurring issues
  • Partner with Student Success and Health & Safety on escalations
  • Maintain housing incident logs and identify patterns


Move-In / Move-Out Operations

  • Oversee housing readiness prior to student arrival
  • Partner with Student Success to plan and execute Housing check-ins and check-outs
  • Ensure condition reports and inspections are completed
  • Coordinate room assignments and relocations
  • Manage damage reporting and resolution


Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Partner with Program Director on housing strategy and risk
  • Collaborate with Student Success on student-facing issues
  • Support Office of the Dean of Students and Health & Safety on parent communication related to housing concerns
  • Serve in a 24/7 on-call rotation that observes, addresses, and responds to the needs of the community 


🧠 What We’re Looking For


Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in student-housing operations, property management, or student services preferred
  • Experience managing vendors or third-party partners
  • Experience working in international or higher education environments preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Proficiency in English
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and external partners
  • Strong problem-solving and crisis management skills
  • Attention to detail in tracking, documentation, and follow-through
  • Ability to identify risks and implement proactive solutions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to student safety, wellbeing, and high-quality service delivery
