The Sales Director, Science, leads the direction and oversight of the science sales strategy while ensuring alignment with growth goals in the marketplace. The Sales Director, Science, leads the team of Educational Sales Consultant, Science, a team of science education experts with strong presentation and sales skills, who drive CAs science market footprint. Educational Sales Consultant, Science typically drives growth via prospecting, sales activities, forecasting, meetings, district presentations, conference presentations and pilots, all with the goal of driving success in core science adoptions.
The Sales Director, Science, collaborates cross-functionally internally to ensure that the science strategy is sound and well-executed. The role is responsible for the upkeep and reporting on territory plan, informing potential and existing customers of product features and benefits, and establishing relationships with key stakeholders to exceed sales goals. This position interacts with senior leaders, executives, and major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives. This Sales Director, Science, thrives on working through challenges in a fast-paced dynamic environment, is comfortable with ambiguity, collaborates well with others, is self-driven towards achieving results. The Sales Director, Science, collaborates cross-functionally internally to ensure that the science strategy is sound and well-executed. The Director will successfully lead the Science sales team, supporting the overall strategy and service delivery plan of the IST (Implementation Service Team).
As the Science Sales leader of field engagements to advance CA’s core science footprint, the Sales Director, Science anticipates and identifies necessary actions across target states and inbound opportunities to ensure science adoptions are maximized and set up for successful implementations.

The impact you'll have:
- Establish collaborative, productive working relationships with the sales organization to gain an in-depth understanding of the overall operations and needs
- Act as an sales expert on the company’s Science products, the issues faced by teachers in the classroom, and the latest educational trends at the local, state, and regional level
- Develop and execute a sales territory plan for Science.
- Formulate new business opportunities, conceptualize solutions, initiate proposals, and implement plans leading to increase business opportunities
- Proactively develop relationships with the top school districts to determine their Science solutions needs and work with them to develop solutions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, decision makers, and thought leaders, identifying additional revenue-generating opportunities
- Deliver key sales presentations virtually or in person
- Coach internal teams and external stakeholders on high-fidelity science implementations
- Create feedback loops for product refining and positioningwith internal teams
- Plan and execute events and conference attendance/sponsorships.
- Demonstrate effective and successful working relationships with internal stakeholders to include sales, service, account management, and product development teams
- Ensure that financial planning, accounting, and financial processes are completed on time and accurately.
- Responsible for financial performance objectives for our science solutions across the country.
- Provide leadership and engagement in addressing account or program issues that become escalated.
- Promote CA thought leadership in science research and authorship in education forums
- Collaborate with the L&D team to ensure that Stile training leaves participants knowledgeable and confident about science and Stile.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that science collateral is on point, and that the Impact Specialists have what they need to drive lead generation in non-customer districts

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field - advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in education or educational sales with a focus the Science subject matter expertise
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading and managing a team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Demonstrated effectiveness working cross-functionally, building relationships with remote teams, and working with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Experience in a SaaS-based sales environment
- Established relationships with district leaders is preferred
Travel: Travel up to 80% is required and considered an essential function of the job for all educator-facing positions. Travel includes overnight stays at hotels and transportation via car, plane, and/or public transportation.
Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $93,250-$166,250. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
