Summary
Sales Manager role at CDW leading a team of Field Account Managers in the Higher Education segment, responsible for achieving sales and profit goals while managing a minimum $35 million book of business. This position drives team productivity, customer relationships, and interdepartmental collaboration within the Sales organization.
Key Responsibilities: Develop sales strategies and territory plans, coach and develop a team of approximately 10 direct reports, manage customer relationships and identify growth opportunities. Monitor team performance, create operating plans to achieve sales initiatives, manage resources including technology specialists and vendor partners, and participate in customer-facing activities.
Skills & Tools: Leadership, consultative selling, strong negotiation, and problem-solving abilities combined with effective communication and time management. Strategic planning, team coaching, resource management, and ability to drive interdepartmental collaboration.
Qualifications: Associate's degree preferred with significant sales management experience and a track record of successful sales performance. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop diverse sales teams.
Location: Hybrid in Chicago, Illinois, United States with up to 50% travel required
Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000 / annually
