Must demonstrate strong communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, and capability to learn complex international tax concepts.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation with CPA certification or working toward CPA. 1-3 years of tax experience and knowledge of federal and state tax laws required.

About the Role: The Tax Analyst will support Wiley’s global tax function by assisting with tax compliance and financial reporting processes. This entry-level role focuses on preparing detailed tax workpapers and supporting schedules for the quarterly and year-end tax provision (ASC 740), as well as federal and state/local income tax compliance. Responsibilities include compiling and validating data for tax filings, preparing book-to-tax differences and account reconciliations, and maintaining well-organized, audit-ready documentation. The role also involves collaborating with internal teams and external advisors, supporting state and local tax processes (including sales tax reporting), and assisting with responses to IRS and state tax notices. You will work closely with cross-functional finance teams to ensure accuracy in our financial statements and SEC filings. The ideal candidate will have strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP and corporate tax laws, with a desire to learn complex international tax concepts.   • Support preparation of quarterly and annual tax provision workpapers (ASC 740)
  • Prepare workpapers to support federal and state/local income tax compliance
  • Prepare various supporting schedules, including book-to-tax differences and account reconciliations
  • Assist in gathering, validating, and organizing data for tax filings
  • Prepare and maintain detailed Excel-based tax workpapers and documentation
  • Support state and local tax processes, including apportionment, compliance tracking, and sales tax calculations
  • Assist in tracking and responding to IRS and state and local tax notices
  • Conduct basic tax research and assist with process improvements Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
  • CPA or working toward CPA
  • 1-3 years of tax experience
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax laws
  • Experience with tax software and systems
  • Strong analytical and research

The range below represents Wiley's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base pay for this role at the time of posting roles either in the United Kingdom, Canada or USA. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall within the range, however the ultimate salary offered for this role may be higher or lower and will be set based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.
