Skills & Tools: Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; proficiency with accounting systems and financial reporting; construction accounting knowledge preferred.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience with 1+ years of accounting systems experience; valid driver's license required. CMiC and/or Textura experience preferred.

Compensation: $42Kโ€“$55K/yr (estimated)

Job Description

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a junior level Cost Coordinator who will work closely with Project Managers, Cost Control, and Operations teams to support financial performance tracking, General Conditions (GC) management, invoicing processes, and overall project reporting.

The Cost Coordinator will provide disciplined financial and analytical support to project teams, assisting with project financial control activities including budgeting, cost reporting, invoicing, and forecasting support. This role supports standard corporate practices and helps ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of project financial data.

Location: This position is full-time, onsite in our Kalamazoo, Michigan office.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development, maintenance, and monitoring of multi-project budgets and cost control reports (including commitments, change orders, general conditions, forecasts, and risk analysis)
  • Assists in generating over/under variance reports with supporting analysis
  • Supports the processing and tracking of commitments, change management, contingencies, and allowances
  • Prepares and processes Owner AIA invoices, subcontractor pay applications, and associated documentation (e.g., sworn statements, lien waivers), ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Supports Project General Conditions (GC) cost tracking, reporting, and analysis
  • Performs financial and operational analysis as needed to support project and department objectives
  • Provides general support to project teams and performs other duties as assigned
