Skills & Tools: Strong CRM proficiency (Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo), excellent communication and relationship-building abilities, analytical mindset with market research and sales performance analysis expertise, and self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or market strategy preferably in EdTech or SaaS industry. Strong understanding of higher education and corporate learning environments with proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.
Compensation: $65K–$80K/yr

Job Description

The Market Development Representative plays a critical role in driving Echo360’s sales growth within the higher education and corporate learning markets. This strategic role focuses on lead generation, market analysis, and sales strategy execution while collaborating with cross-functional teams to unlock new opportunities and deliver sustainable growth for the company’s innovative EdTech and corporate L&D solutions.

This position is FULLY REMOTE; we will consider candidates who are located in many, but not all, states within the United States.  For US-based positions, candidates must be eligible to work in the United States for any employer.

The Primary Responsibilities for this role include:

  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify untapped opportunities and emerging trends in the higher education and corporate learning sectors
  • Build, manage, and optimize a robust pipeline of potential clients, focusing on new customer acquisition and expansion sales
  • Qualify opportunities and build trust with key decision-makers to accelerate the sales cycle
  • Develop and execute strategic go-to-market initiatives, including competitive positioning and targeted sales approaches, to establish and grow Echo360’s market presence
  • Partner with marketing, product, and enablement teams to craft tailored campaigns and resources that address specific market needs
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and industry dynamics to refine strategies and inform sales approaches
  • Track performance metrics, and provide actionable insights to improve outcomes.

The ideal candidate for this role will have/be:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, or market strategy, preferably in EdTech, SaaS, or related industry
  • Strong understanding of higher education and corporate learning environments
  • Fluency with CRM tools including Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo to manage sales pipelines and campaigns effectively
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets through innovative strategies and customer-centric solutions
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in market research and sales performance analysis
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, thriving in both independent and team-driven environment

Additional Job Details

The base salary range for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 annually

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
