Job Description
As a member of the AWS team, you will bridge the gap between business needs and technology. You will work closely with application development teams to identify areas for process improvement and implement efficient solutions to meet business requirements. Using your technical and business knowledge to integrate and analyze data from multiple sources to draw conclusions and make recommendations, identify and investigate incidents, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve or escalate issues and track them to resolution. You will be expected to work independently and handle multiple concurrent time-sensitive tasks that require attention to detail using various software technologies necessary to support the University’s enterprise applications and business operations requirements. Responsibilities include:
Process Automation
- Develop, implement, and execute production and test processes and processing schedules using IBM Workload Scheduler, or other scheduling automation applications
- Develop, implement, and execute secure data transmissions using EDI or similar tools
- Configure and implement reports and bursting rules within the report distribution and archiving solution
- Assist with automation efforts and onboard new resources to ensure the completeness and accuracy of the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database
- Use scripting languages to connect, enhance functionality, and optimize back-end applications
System software administration
- Configure and administer automated workload scheduling software
- Configure and administer secure data transmission software
- Assist in planning and implementation of software upgrades required to support functional enhancements or maintenance agreement
- Perform routine daily and ad hoc administrative tasks, monitor performance, address errors, and modify configurations to meet business requirements
- Monitor and maintain Configuration Items in the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database
