Position Purpose

The position of Creative Director for Digital Design is a senior leadership role in the Creative Services team. Creative Director for Digital Design is responsible for guiding and overseeing the creative direction of digital projects, ensuring they align with Benchmark’s vision and objectives in the online space. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Team Leadership: Lead and inspire digital creative teams, including designers, writers, web developers, and other members of the creative services team.

Digital Strategy: Develop and communicate a comprehensive digital creative strategy that aligns with Benchmark Education Company’s objectives and target audience.

Concept Development: Generate innovative digital concepts and ideas for websites, apps, social media, and other digital platforms.

User Experience (UX) Design: Oversee the creation of user-friendly and visually appealing digital interfaces that provide a seamless user experience.

Engagement: Ensure that digital content, including graphics, videos, and copy, is engaging and on-brand.

Project Oversight: Manage the entire digital creative process, from concept to execution, to ensure projects are completed successfully and on schedule.

Collaboration: Collaborate closely across departments to understand their digital goals and expectations, presenting creative concepts and solutions.

Quality Control: Maintain high creative standards for all digital output, conducting thorough reviews and revisions as necessary.

Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to inform creative strategies, making adjustments based on user behavior and performance metrics.

Technology Trends: Stay updated on emerging technology trends and digital best practices to inform and enhance digital creative strategies.

Job Requirements/Skills and Experience:

  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities to inspire and guide digital creative professionals.
  • A bachelor's degree in digital design, digital marketing, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in creative leadership positions and digital creative roles, with a proven track record of successful digital projects in the Ed Tech space.
  • Comprehensive understanding of UX/UI as it relates to the ed tech market.
  • Fully conversant in all WCAG accessibility requirements.
  • Outstanding visual and organizational skills. 
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment across multiple projects.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Problem-solving skills to determine solutions to user interface challenges.
  • High level of attention to detail and mastery of information design.

Software:

Knowledge of all relevant industry tools and software including but not exclusively:

  • Proficiency in creative software such as Figma, HTML / CSS Javascript, Adobe Creative Cloud (e.g., InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for reviewing and directing digital design work.
  • Familiarity with project management software like Asana, Trello, or Monday.com for overseeing digital creative projects.
  • Understanding of web design and development tools and languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Utilization of analytics tools such as Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics for data-driven decision making.

Salary Range: $130,000-$160,000

*The base salary range represents the low and high end of the expected salary range for the position. The base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors such as geographic location, experience, education, and skill level.
