Role Snapshot

CDW is seeking an Onboarding Engineer to manage technical deployments during customer onboarding, ensuring positive experiences through expert communication and technical guidance. The role focuses on coordinating deployments, leading technical reviews, and providing AWS best practices guidance to customers.

Skills & Tools: Strong AWS management capabilities (EC2, RDS, VPC, CloudWatch), proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash), expertise with Terraform and CloudFormation, and excellent communication skills. Additional skills include Linux/Windows system administration, networking knowledge (DNS, VPNs, SSL, load balancing), and experience with web server applications and monitoring tools.

Qualifications: 5 years of experience in technical roles with preference for technical deployment experience and AWS workload management. AWS Associate Certification required within 90 days of hire; knowledge of technical customer support processes and infrastructure best practices essential.

Location: Vernon Hills, Illinois

Compensation: $85K–$120K/yr
