Summary

Senior Accountant at Pluralsight supporting revenue recognition and financial statement processes in a remote-first role with hybrid flexibility for candidates near specific office locations.

Job Description:

Senior Accountant have a strong accounting foundation and are diligent in their attention to detail. They will support our revenue close process and other critical aspects of the financial statement close.

What you’ll do:

  • Performing month-end closing procedures including the preparation of journal entries, maintenance of sub-ledgers and GL account reconciliations
  • Performing review of revenue transactions and related contracts to ensure appropriate revenue recognition
  • Assisting with the implementation of new systems
  • Calculate royalty payments to our authors and perform reviews to ensure accurate computation
  • Assisting with financial statement audits
  • Conducting ad hoc financial/operational analysis as required

Experience you’ll bring:

  • Strong understanding of US GAAP
  • Understanding of new revenue recognition guidance as prescribed under ASC 606 preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and analytical abilities

Requirements:

  • CPA preferred
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of related or equivalent experience; or 3+ years with an advanced degree.
  • Master’s degree in accounting preferred
  • Some public accounting experience preferred
  • This is a remote role; however, applicants located within 45 miles of our Draper, UT, or Westlake/Dallas, TX offices should expect to work on-site Tuesday through Thursday, with remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. Pay Transparency:

The US base salary range for this role is $86,300 - $120,000 USD. Actual compensation will depend on location, skills, experience, and other factors. Additional benefits and bonuses may apply.
