The Content and Social Media Coordinator is responsible for capturing, creating, and managing daily content for Abilene Christian University’s (ACU) social media channels. This role takes a reactive approach, focusing on real-time storytelling, student engagement, and maintaining an active, authentic social media presence. Additionally, this position will oversee student employees to ensure a steady flow of diverse and engaging content that reflects ACU’s brand and mission. Serve as an on-the-ground content creator, gathering photos, videos, and stories from students, faculty, and campus events to share across ACU’s social media platforms. Manage day-to-day posting, engagement, and community interactions across all social media channels, ensuring timely responses and fostering meaningful conversations. Build and maintain relationships with students, faculty, and departments to source relevant and compelling content. Cover live events, student activities, and key university moments in real-time, creating engaging multimedia content for various platforms. Recruit, train, and supervise student employees, providing guidance on content creation, social media best practices, and ACU’s brand voice. Ensure that all social media content aligns with ACU’s mission, values, and student experience while maintaining a consistent brand voice. Collaborate closely with the Social Media Strategist to align content with broader university marketing and communication goals. Monitor ACU-affiliated social media accounts, social media trends, student interests, and industry best practices to keep content fresh, engaging, and relevant.
