The Video Production Coordinator – Athletics leads ESPN+ broadcast production and creates dynamic video content to support ACU Athletics' brand, storytelling, and fan engagement. This position reports to the Assistant AD for Media Relations and serves as a key operational leader for live sports broadcasts and multiplatform content creation.
Job Description

Leads ESPN+ broadcast production and creates dynamic video content to support ACU Athletics’ brand, storytelling, and fan engagement. This position reports to the Assistant AD for Media Relations Basic Responsibilities A. Work closely with the ACUTV director to plan, coordinate, and execute live and recorded sports broadcasts for ESPN+ B. Oversee various production logistics, supports control room operations, and helps guide student crew members to ensure high-quality broadcasts. C. Produce, shoot, and edit video content to support ACU Athletics across social media, ESPN+, and in-venue platforms Essential Duties Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions. A. Coordinate, and execute live and recorded sports broadcasts for ESPN+ i. Direct live and taped sports productions for ESPN+ ii. Attend pre-production meetings when needed iii. Monitor and help maintain functionality of equipment during productions iv. Work as liaison with Athletics department for wireless camera and board show production B. Oversee various production logistics, supports control room operations, and helps guide student crew members i. Oversee and fulfill XPression graphics needs for ESPN+ productions ii. Coordinate testing and setup with the ACUTV media production coordinator iii. Recruit, train, and mentor students in technical production roles iv. Provide support to maintain, update, and optimize broadcast equipment and workflows C. Produce, shoot, and edit video content to support ACU Athletics across social media, ESPN+, and in-venue platforms i. Develop highlights, feature stories, and promotional videos with timely turnaround ii. Collaborate with coaches, student-athletes, and staff to identify and execute content opportunities iii. Assist with social media content strategy and execution in coordination with communications and marketing staff D. Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics, Deputy ADs or Senior staff member. Supervisory Responsibilities: A. Supervise student workers B. Recruit and train all student workers. C. Prepare work schedules and assignments for student workers. Professional Development Requirements: A. Skills i. Strong organizational skills. ii. Ability to work with a number of constituents to produce a well-run athletics event. vii. Knowledge of NCAA, conference and ACU rules and regulations. Qualifications: Professional i. Bachelor’s degree required in a related field (broadcasts, multimedia, communications, etc.) ii. Two (2) years of working in sports broadcasts production, strong knowledge of filming, photography, editing, color grading, audio mixing, and production required. iii. Proficient in XPression graphics or similar broadcast software. iv. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud software Personal i. Strong Christian beliefs and values. ii. Ability to establish and nurture strong relationships. iii. Approach to assignments that are creative and well thought out. iv. A high degree of self-motivation. v. A basic understanding of college athletics at the NCAA Division I level. vi. Commitment to quality. Physical Demands i. Ability to endure long hours of work. ii. Extended periods of walking and climbing stairs. iii. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. iv. Ability to lift tables and chairs to arrange events. v. Work nights and weekends. vi. Possible exposure to weather extremes. vii. Ability to endure extended periods of sitting and typing at a computer.
