The Talent Search Group at PiP is seeking a Business Acquisition Manager (US) on behalf of our client, an EdTech providing customizable courseware for Higher Education.

The Business Acquisition Manager is responsible for casting and implementing a strategic plan to achieve step-function growth in the traditional Higher Ed market. You will lead a small but growing team to drive new sales of existing titles and seed the market for upcoming title releases. This is a high-growth opportunity partnering with an established, next-gen educational publisher to enter new markets. 

The ideal candidate will possess a quantifiable track record of success both as a leader and as an individual contributor. A strong interest in digital media and its applications to learning is a must. 

This is a remote position in the US: ideally, candidates are located in North Carolina or Texas, but may be located in any of the following states: NC, CO, IN, NM, NY, OR, RI, SC, TN, TX, and VT. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and demonstration of academic excellence
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience and 2+ years of sales management experience
  • Experience with learning technologies and curiosity about the development of traditional and technology-based intellectual property
  • Growth mindset—willingness to ask questions and accept feedback
  • High level of comfort using technology to perform job tasks and product demonstrations

Compensation and benefits

  • Competitive starting base salary commensurate with experience ($110–$120K annual salary)
  • Achievable goals with a generous bonus structure (with no cap on bonus) based on performance
