Learn more at ymcareers.com. Role Summary The experienced Sales Manager is responsible for leading a team of Inside Sales Account Executives in two locations, Groton, CT and Atlanta, GA. They are focused on job posting and recruitment advertising sales, achieving monthly and quarterly revenue goals while building a high-performance culture of accountability. This role combines hands-on coaching, performance management, and structured onboarding leadership to ensure both new and tenured team members develop the skills needed to succeed in a quota-driven environment. The Sales Manager plays a critical role in driving team productivity, improving sales effectiveness, and supporting ongoing hiring and talent development initiatives. Success in this role requires strong leadership, disciplined execution, and a passion for developing early-career sales professionals into high-performing Account Executives. This position is based in a hybrid work environment located in either Atlanta, GA or Groton, CT. Key Responsibilities Lead, manage, and coach a team of Inside Sales Account Executives to achieve individual and team revenue goals. Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and structured training to develop core selling skills, including discovery, positioning, and objection handling. Review deal strategies with team members and provide tactical guidance to remove blockers and improve close rates. Drive daily execution of the sales process to ensure consistent activity levels and performance across the team. Monitor pipeline development, maintain balanced funnel health, and ensure quota attainment at both individual and team levels. Deliver accurate weekly and monthly forecasts and coach team members to improve forecast accuracy and pipeline visibility. Identify inefficiencies in sales processes and implement improvements to increase productivity and effectiveness. Lead the onboarding and development of new hires, ensuring completion of training milestones and successful ramp to performance expectations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience 6–8+ years of sales experience, including 2–3+ years in a sales leadership or supervisory role Demonstrated success leading quota-carrying sales teams and achieving team revenue goals in a fast-paced transactional sales environment Strong understanding of sales coaching, training, and onboarding, including developing early-career sales professionals Experience managing pipeline performance, forecasting accuracy, and team productivity using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, Gong) Proven ability to manage performance through defined KPIs and sales metrics Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach, motivate, and develop team members Experience collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, customer success, and operations teams Work Environment and Flexibility Enjoy the best of both worlds with our hybrid work schedule. This role is based at our Atlanta, GA or Groton, CT office and will require up to 25% travel between the two locations.
